Julia Ziobro's Cornea Transplant Diary

Julia Moseley, 18 March 99On February 9, 1999, Julia Ziobro had cornea transplant surgery. "I had this surgery because a disease called keratoconus had made the vision in my right eye, even with a rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lens, very poor."

Julia has documented her surgery for all of us. Read more about the daily outcome of Julia's cornea transplant click on the link below:

                          http://www.ziobro.us/ODeye.html

Julia has stated on her website that she plans to have her left eye transplanted soon, and all of us at California Transplant hope that she allows us to find her a fantastic cornea so that she can report back about a cornea from California Transplant Services!

Julia, for the record, has no commercial affiliation with California Transplant Services, Inc., a non profit eye and tissue bank, and has graciously allowed a link to her website.

Keratoconus Web Sites

There are a lot of websites about keratoconus, we will review several of them and give you links here for the sites that we feel are helpful and educational. We will list them here and constantly update them.  Our goal is to direct you to quality websites.

There are several other keratoconus web sites, one of the best is http://www.keratoconus.com and it is a good place to start.

You can also go to the National Keratoconus Foundation for information and their site is http://www.nkcf.org/
